# Does it matter what time of the year we hire a Virtual CFO?

There is a Chinese proverb, "The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago, the second best time is now." Using this analogy - there is no better time than today; however, we do find many  business owners starting on the journey of hiring a Virtual CFO before the new fiscal year.

 

Hiring before the new fiscal year will help you plan out the coming year. Of course, there is nothing wrong with starting in the middle of the year, if that works better for you and your business.
