What is the job of a CFO?

CFO stands for Chief Financial Officer. As the name implies, a CFO is in charge of all the company's related financial activity, such as:

 

1. Helping the company obtain financing and managing the lender relationships.

2. Be the key contact for financial relationships in the banking and legal community as well as with major vendors and clients.

3. Overseeing the accounting department and ensuring that the bookkeeper is property doing their job. 

4. And of course, the CFO is tasked with building 12 months and multi-year budgets and cash flow forecasts. The CFO will report directly to the CEO.
