In a sign of how important the third party e-commerce market has become, Intuit launched QuickBooks Commerce. This new platform helps consolidate sales on Amazon, Shopify, Walmart, etc. While there are plenty of other softwares that provide the same service, what makes it newsworthy is the fact that QuickBooks will have their own product for this.
QuickBooks Commerce is in fact not a new software built from the ground up. Intuit purchased the inventory automation platform TradeGecko at the beginning of August. They just did a visual overhaul, branded to match the Intuit feel. Despite the new look and new name, the platform is still a separate product from QuickBooks Online.
